Centre for Agroecological Promotion - rooted in community, driven by agroecology
CAEP's mission is to empower marginalized groups, particularly women and smallholder farmers, by promoting healthy food production, protecting biodiversity, and conserving traditional agricultural practices. With a membership of 30 individuals, including women, men, and youth, CAEP is dedicated to tackling poverty and food insecurity in Cameroon.
Since its inception, CAEP has conducted a variety of activities, such as skill development workshops, health awareness campaigns, and environmental conservation projects. The organization has garnered substantial support from local communities, stakeholders, and partners, enabling the successful implementation of programmes that empower marginalized groups and foster community resilience.
In its early years, CAEP prioritized building partnerships with governmental bodies and other NGOs to leverage resources and maximize impact. By emphasizing community involvement, CAEP has cultivated a strong network of volunteers and advocates committed to driving positive change. Today, CAEP continues to adapt and evolve, addressing emerging challenges while steadfastly pursuing its mission of community empowerment and sustainable development.
